Man Adopts Dog With Tᴜᴍᴏʀ So He Can Live Out The Rest Of His Life Knowing ‘Unconditional Love’

Luciano Karosas, from Berazategui in Buenos Aires, is quite possibly one of the most kindhearted people you will ever meet. You see, Luciano knowingly adopted a dog who only had a few weeks left to live, after the sic.k animal had already been rejected by four other families.

Thanos the dog, who had previously been called Coconut prior to his adoption by 21-year-old Luciano, had a ᴄᴀɴᴄᴇʀᴏᴜs ᴛᴜᴍᴏᴜʀ growing on his head and only had weeks left to live before being taken in by the kindhearted man.

The poor pup had been living with a different family when he received his ᴄᴀɴᴄᴇʀ ᴅɪᴀɢɴᴏsɪs, but when taking care of Thanos became too difficult for them – after the ᴅɪsᴇᴀsᴇ sᴘʀᴇᴀᴅ to his head – they felt like they had to give him up. He was then taken in by a number of other families, but they also couldn’t handle his condition and what it entailed and so Thanos was yet again given to an animal shelter – where he met Luciano.

When Luciano met Thanos at the shelter, he was touched by his story and he immediately wanted to take him home and fill his last days with unconditial love. “I came out with a piece of my heart in my hand,” he said. However, Luciano refused to accept that there was absolutely nothing he could do to save Thanos. So, he took him to the vet to see if they could operate.

“I found it hard to adapt to the idea of ​​how little time we will spend together. I took him to a stem cell veterinarian to see what we could do, looking for a little more hope (which had given him 40 days to live) and told me that there is no tr.eatment that extends that time,” Luciano said.

Having to come to terms with the sad news that there was nothing he could do to save Thanos, Luciano vowed to make the most out of the time he had left with him. He pampered Thanos and did everything he possibly could to make him comfortable and happy.

He pampered the dog as much as he could, with Thanos seeming happier than he has ever been, in the short time he was living with Luciano – even playing and snuggling like any other dog. Unfortunately as expected, Thanos eventually sᴜᴄᴄᴜᴍʙᴇᴅ to the ᴛᴇʀʀɪʙʟᴇ ɪʟʟɴᴇss and he p.assed a.way a little while later. His adopted owner and overall good samaratin wished him a ‘good trip’ on social media and writing: “I will love you forever.”
