This Little Dog Befriended A Butterfly, And For A Moment The World Was Perfect
French Bulldogs are known to be cute thanks to their large, expressive eyes and bat-shaped ears. Mochi, a five-month-old french bulldog from San Diego, California, is probably one of the cutest French Bulldogs ever. She’s such a darling!
According to Mochi’s owner, Rylee Boland, Mochi is fun-loving and affectionate. Currently, Mochi already has more than 8,000 followers on Instagram.
When you scroll through Mochi’s feed, you will see what Boland means. Mochi loves snuggling with Boland and is constantly adorable. Also, because Mochi is a puppy, she’s very curious and playful.
One day, Rylee Boland and her dog Mochi, were hanging out at home when a colorful little stranger decided to drop by for a visit. It was a monarch butterfly, who proceeded to land on their backyard wall to warm his wings in the sun. Immediately, Mochi ran over to greet it, sat still, and calmly watched it.
Though Mochi is typically a hyperactive pup, she seemed to understand the weak insect would prefer a gentler sort of welcome.
“She was so sweet and did not want to hurt it,” Boland told The Dodo. “She is very well-behaved and has the kindest heart.”
French Bulldogs are known to be smart and intuitive, and Mochi’s actions show that she is kind-hearted and empathetic too.
Mochi and her butterfly friend kept interacting like that for 15 minutes. Before flying, the butterfly briefly landed on Mochi’s feet. Boland, who watched this exchange unfold, felt touched. More so, she felt that for a moment, the world became perfect. Fortunately, this lovely moment was captured by Boland on camera and she post on Instagram.
It was a shared sense of kindness and trust that made the sweet scene possible that day — qualities in Mochi the world could always use more of.
