A Hᴇᴀʀᴛʙʀᴏᴋᴇɴ cat misses her ᴅᴇᴀᴅ owner so much she has spent an entire year living on her ɢʀᴀᴠᴇ. Pets are part of the family, in a fluffy loving way. They are always by our side to listen and make us company. These furry family members have a level of love and loyalty that not many people around history have achieved. This is a story of how a little cat’s love has trespassed the lines between ʟɪꜰᴇ and ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ to keep being in the company of her human. Her owner was an old lady that passed away a year ago, in Central Java, Iɴᴅᴏɴᴇsɪᴀ. Since then, the cat has been living in there and stayed by her side. She only leaves the ɢʀᴀᴠᴇ to go back to her former home where she is fed by the old lady’s children.

The cat was first heard Cʀʏɪɴɢ while lying in the mud at the burial plot in Central Java, Iɴᴅᴏɴᴇsɪᴀ, by 28-ʏᴇᴀʀ-ᴏʟᴅ Keli Keningau Prayitno, who attempted to adopt her – but the feline kept returning to visit her ᴅᴇᴄᴇᴀsᴇᴅ owner’s blue headstone. Others attempted to tempt the cat away with food and water, but she refused to leave, sleeping there every night.mThe cat returns to her former home every day, where she is fed by her former owner’s children.

But then, when she’s had her meal, she returns to the ɢʀᴀᴠᴇ once more, sleeping there every night. Dad-of-one Keli said: ‘I thought she was homeless and tried to help, but every time she would keep returning to the ɢʀᴀᴠᴇ. ‘I saw her every day and noticed that she was always there. Sometimes she would leave for a couple of hours then come back. He added: ‘I followed her and she was going to the home where she used to live, where the lady’s children would feed her.

‘We take some food and water to the cat but she still likes to go home. She’s at the ɢʀᴀᴠᴇ every day.’ Apparently, the cat does nothing but roll around, sleep and meow when at the ɢʀᴀᴠᴇ, and seems to be very content there. ‘It’s very sad to see,’ says Keli. ‘It shows how close animals are to their owners.’Animal experts say that cats may seem too cool and aloof, but ɢʀɪᴇᴠɪɴɢ after an owner’s ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ is very real. Felines can also become ᴀɴxɪᴏᴜs, lose interest in the outer world, and become unlike themselves.
