Disabled Dog Dumped By Owner Twice In One Day Finds Loving Home

Dogs are what you’d call a gift that keeps on giving. Give them food, love, and shelter and they’ll walk through the deepest corners of ʜell with you. Whether they have two legs or four, they are always filled with boundless energy and often serenade you with love every time you walk in the front door.

Yet, there are cruel owners in the world who dump these magnificent pets in the middle of nowhere because they can’t take care of them. Unable to live on the streets and scourge for food, they meet a slow and painful end. The story of Tintin, a two-legged dog abandoned by his Brazilian owners twice in one day is quite similar, although, with a happier ending.

CCTV captured the moment a woman dumped the dog on the sidewalk in Sao Leopoldo, in the south of the country, before driving away in her car. The heartbreaking video shows a white car parking alongside a deserted road where a woman is seen getting out of the car and dragging out a white dog that only has three legs. After shoving him violently and heartlessly, the cold-blooded woman drives away. Upon seeing this horrifying footage, millions were left in tears.

Luckily, just a day after the video was posted, people identified the poor three-legged dog in it. As it turned out, the Patas Geurreras animal charity had taken the dog in and renamed him TinTin. Later, people found out that TinTin was actually abandoned twice on the same day. The first time he was dumped, TinTin was brought back home after one woman found him on the street, believing he was lost. But, being absolutely cold-hearted and inhumane, his owner dumped him again.

Anderson Ribeiro, boss of the Secretariat of Animal Protection in Sao Leopoldo, said the man walked in with the animal on a leash and said he found him of the streets. Ribeiro told Brazilian channel G1 that, because the animal was wearing a collar, he assumed it was a lost dog rather than a stray. He got in touch with local Ana Paula Scherer, who owns a dog with a similar disability named Berlin, to check whether it belonged to her.

But when she told him that Berlin was at home with her, Ribeiro became suspicious of the man’s story and decided to alert police. Officers managed to trace the owners – who admitted to being the same pair who had abandoned Tintin earlier in the day. Ribeiro says he has passed his information over to police, who confirmed they are investigating on a charge of animal ᴀbuse and have called witnesses to testify.

Tintin is now living with a loving family after he was taken in by the Patas Geurreras animal charity. All is well with the world, once again. The charity has said that Tintin is doing ‘exceptionally well’ given the circumstances under which he was abandoned, adding that he’s being showered with ‘love and care’ from his new family.
